Hey there,
Today’s Creator Spotlight is about sticking with it, when your work still isn’t so great:
What It Is: This is a repurposed speech by the acclaimed podcast host, Ira Glass. In it, he explains why our art sucks at first, and what we need to do to close “the gap” between our current capabilities and wildest aspirations.
Why You Should Watch It: I know a ton of creators that turn to this, over and over when they’re feeling down. When their work isn’t quite where they want it to be. The truth is: every creator you’ve ever aspired to be like started with zero subscribers. But what they did in obscurity — all of the work, obsessing, tinkering — is what carried them out of obscurity. You just have to keep going, and one day it’ll click.
