TLDR; we are launching a weekly spotlight of our favorite resources from the creator library, today’s is about how to plan your days as a creator.
Hey there,
How are things? It’s been a few weeks since the Creator Library launched, and we wanted to check in. We’re still busy tweaking and adding new resources everyday based on feedback from people coming to the site.
One of the things we keep hearing is that people want updates. But look, we don’t really want to spam you with nonsense, so we decided to keep it simple…
Every Friday, Zack or I will send out a “Creator Library Spotlight.” It’ll include ONE of our new or all-time favorite resources, and a quick blurb on why we think you should check it out.
That’s it. Our goal is to pack as much punch as we possibly can into an email and give you a little jolt or inspiration to go out and make something this weekend.
Without further ado, here’s our first Spotlight:
Maker's Schedule, Manager's Schedule by Paul Graham
Why You Should Read It: This essay, from one of the co-founders of Y Combinator, is the Bible for managing your time as a creative. The business world runs on 30 minute meetings but creators have to build out 3+ hour blocks of time to build, think, edit, write, and ideate. You’ve got to protect that creative time like it’s money. Because, really — it is. Dedicated time and effort move the needle.
Favorite Line: “Each type of schedule works fine by itself. Problems arise when they meet.”
What’d you think? Drop us a line. And for more amazing resources like this one, check out creatorlibrary.co.
